Fulvic & Humic Acid FAQ

Straight answers on dosing, timing, safety, sourcing, and how the two molecules work together. Deeper mechanism explainers live in Science.

Fulvic Acid Basics

Fulvic acid is a low-molecular-weight organic compound formed over millennia as plant matter decomposes. Its small size and pH-adaptive chemistry let it bind minerals and nutrients and carry them across cell membranes — which is why it is often described as a nutrient transport or delivery molecule. People use it to improve absorption of the minerals and supplements they already take.
A common starting point is 250–500mg of purified fulvic acid powder mixed into water once daily on an empty stomach. Start at the low end for the first week, observe hydration, energy, and digestion, then adjust. Do not exceed label directions, and talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, nursing, or on medication.
Morning on an empty stomach is the most common protocol — about 20–30 minutes before food or other supplements so the transport layer is active when nutrients arrive. Some users split dosing morning and mid-afternoon. Avoid taking it at the same time as chlorinated tap water.
Purified, tested fulvic acid is generally well tolerated. Some people notice mild detox-type effects in the first days (headache, loose stool) which typically resolve. The bigger risk is unpurified products: crude source material can carry heavy metals — which is why every Pure Path batch ships with a third-party Certificate of Analysis.

Humic Acid & Stacking

Both come from humified organic matter, but they are different molecules with different jobs. Fulvic acid is smaller, soluble at all pH levels, and acts as a nutrient transporter into cells. Humic acid is larger, binds toxins and heavy metals, and works mainly in the gut as a binder and escort out of the body. Pure Path separates them so each can be dosed for its own purpose.
Yes — they are complementary. A common sequence is fulvic in the morning for nutrient transport and humic later in the day for binding support. The 5-Day Challenge walks through this exact sequence. Keeping them separate in time prevents the binder (humic) from competing with the transporter (fulvic).
People with real-world exposure loads — welders, mechanics, painters, oilfield and trades workers, or anyone in older housing stock — commonly use humic acid for its binding affinity for heavy metals and its support of the body’s normal removal pathways.
That is the core use case. Minerals, peptides, and many nutrients depend on membrane transport to reach cells. Fulvic acid acts as the delivery layer, which is why users typically add it under an existing stack rather than replacing anything.

Quality & Sourcing

Heat and harsh chemical extraction can degrade the functional carboxyl and hydroxyl groups that give fulvic acid its transport behavior. Cold-water extraction preserves those low-molecular-weight fractions intact — slower and more expensive to run, but the molecule arrives functional.
From ancient humate deposits in Utah, USA — plant matter humified over millions of years. Domestic sourcing means the supply chain is auditable end-to-end, from deposit to extraction to bottling.
Yes. Every batch is lot-tracked with a third-party Certificate of Analysis covering heavy metals and potency. Batch IDs and COA references are surfaced at purchase and in wholesale materials, so you can audit the claims directly.
Shilajit is a crude resin in which fulvic acid is typically only 15–20% of the material, mixed with geological tars and — in many tested products — measurable lead and arsenic. Pure Path isolates the fulvic fraction itself via cold extraction and verifies each batch, so you get the active molecule without the geology. See the full comparison at /vs/shilajit.

Orders & Products

A $5 low-friction sample stack: fulvic and humic sachets with a day-by-day protocol. Days 1–2 establish the fulvic transport layer, day 3 adds humic binding support, days 4–5 you assess hydration, clarity, and recovery markers and decide on a full-size path.
Yes — FulviDerm, the topical fulvic spritzer, is in stock now in 8oz and 16oz sizes, both on sale for a limited time on the product page.
Yes. Clinics, retailers, and formulation partners can request pricing at /wholesale. Tiers start at 50 units (Starter) with Growth at 250 and Enterprise at 1,000, and all tiers include COA documentation for resale compliance.
Cool, dry, out of direct sunlight, sealed. The powders are shelf-stable; avoid introducing moisture into the pouch. Mixed into water, drink within the same day.
